London Final Day

the last day we went out in order to meet giac for lunch.  on the way there, i ran across some aston martins

now giac was working that day, and he had his kids along for lunch, so it was really nice to see them again.  they have grown a lot since we last say them many years ago. and they were so well behaved at lunch.  after lunch we walked back to his office, and said our good-bye’s

From there noa and i walked on around london.

this picture i really like.  it puts old and new together well.  i think I’m going to try to start a series like that.  i saw an example of it in tel aviv from a friend of mine and i was really struck with how cool of an idea it was. i took this picture before realizing it, but its something you can take in almost any city.

some cool stuff along the way

eventually i leave the ladies behind so that they can see one last play.  this time I’m equipped with my tripod, so i walk over to tower bridge for round 2.

i took a few pictures of where the fateful phone drop occurred.  look at those menacing rocks.

and what i had to walk across at dusk in order to make a successful recovery.  the stairwell was behind the bridge.

then i walked over towards the london eye to capture some night shots.

in summary, the trip to london was really fantastic.  i think i got sort of sick of processing photos for a while, so it took me a few months to get the updates out, for which i apologize.  i know people were waiting to see them.   but in all honesty, i think i really got to know london a bit better this trip, and being able to hang out with old friends and going to visit their haunts, it really made me feel more like a local, and not so much a tourist.  and i always like to discover the hidden area’s that people don’t really know much about.  we try to do that for people who visit us in tel aviv, and everyone always appreciates it.  so i think I’ve come around with my strong dislike of london.  i would for sure visit again.

in closing i’ll leave you with my last shots of london
